Julfest is a Scandinavian-style advent service, featuring an evening of Christmas music and a traditional St. Lucia procession. This year’s program will be held on December 2nd at 4pm, and includes lessons and carols in Swedish and English. A candlelight reception follows in the Summit building with coffee and Swedish treats. 400 E. Pike St., Seattle. No admission charge — freewill offering taken. All are welcome!

Each year our freewill offering is given to a local organization that embodies the spirit of St. Lucia. The most common legend of Lucia is that she would secretly bring food to the persecuted Christians in Rome, who lived in hiding in the catacombs under the city. This year, our offering will go to New Horizons, and organization in our city working “to connect youth experiencing homelessness to resources they need to exit street life through basic services and positive relationships.” If you would like to give to this ministry, please follow the PayPal link below.
