On this good, holy Friday

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, while the sun’s light failed, and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.

~ Luke 23:44-46

Lord God of all creation,
whose awesome will lifts up the cross, a sign of entry to eternal life,
change our hearts
that we may turn from all past ways of worldly power,
from means of destruction and coercion,
to embrace the way of the cross,
the weakness that is true power,
and the folly that marks your wisdom and reign. Amen.

~ Robert Hovda

God bless you all as we claim the power of these holy days in our lives and in our world, this day and every day.

P.S. I will be working from home this coming Easter Week as I will be tending to Susan who is having her knee replaced on Monday. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
